Cut to the P3ESR, not borrowed from another speaker
The #P34 plate is 190 × 185 mm (7.5 × 7.3"), within a millimetre of the P3ESR's base. It is made for the P3ESR and P3ESR XD only.
Why not an LS3/5A stand? The cabinets look alike from the front, but the P3ESR is deeper. Our #354 for the LS3/5A has a 190 × 160 mm plate, which leaves the back of a P3ESR hanging off the plate. The #P34 supports the whole base.

Pick the stand height by tweeter height
Most listeners want the tweeter near ear height when seated, roughly 85–95 cm for a typical chair. The tweeter sits about 230 mm above the P3ESR base, so add 230 mm to the stand height.

Setting up the P3ESR on the stand
Harbeth's user guide suggests sitting the speaker on small felt or rubber pads rather than straight on metal. If you use Blu-Tack, use only rice-grain amounts: it can mark the veneer.
Point the speakers roughly at your listening seat, keep them a little away from the back wall, then level each stand with its floor spikes.

Many LS3/5A, LS5/9 and Harbeth owners prefer an open-frame stand: a rigid steel frame with nothing boxed in, so the stand stays out of sight and out of the way of the sound. The cabinet sits on four small pads on a plate cut to its size, with open space below it.

Does the #P34 fit the P3ESR and the P3ESR XD?
Yes. The 190 × 185 mm plate is made for both; the cabinets share the same base.
What height should I choose?
For most chairs, 700 mm puts the tweeter at about 930 mm and 650 mm at about 880 mm. Use the height calculator to check against your own ear height.
Can I order a custom height?
Yes. Choose "Customized Height" for $50 more; custom stands are made in 7–10 days.
Can I use an LS3/5A stand instead?
It isn't ideal. The P3ESR is deeper than an LS3/5A, and our #354 plate (190 × 160 mm) is shorter than the P3ESR base.
