The BestVox M9 is a large two-way bookshelf monitor. It pairs a 200 mm mid/bass driver developed in-house by BestVox with a 25 mm ferrofluid-cooled tweeter, in a damped high-density MDF cabinet. It reaches 45 Hz–22 kHz and has the largest woofer in the BestVox M series. Price is for a pair of speakers.
Cabinet and crossover
The M9 comes from a BestVox team with decades of OEM and ODM loudspeaker work behind it.
The cabinet is high-density MDF with added damping structures, an approach inspired by BBC monitors. It keeps the sound clear and controlled.
The crossover uses a second-order low-pass filter for the woofer and a third-order high-pass filter for the tweeter, so the two drivers blend smoothly and the stereo image stays stable.
How it sounds
The M9 aims for a natural sound without added colour: clean bass extension, a detailed midrange and smooth treble. It suits vocals, jazz and classical music, and it is easy to listen to for hours.
