A plate the size of the cabinet
The #M34 plate is 277 × 275 mm (10.9 × 10.8"), matching the 277 mm width and 275 mm depth of the M30.2 XD and M30.1. The M30.2 XD is 460 mm tall and weighs 11.6 kg, well within the stand's load.

Pick the stand height by tweeter height
The M30 tweeter sits about 320 mm above the cabinet base, so add 320 mm to the stand height. Seated ear height is usually 85–95 cm.

Many LS3/5A, LS5/9 and Harbeth owners prefer an open-frame stand: a rigid steel frame with nothing boxed in, so the stand stays out of sight and out of the way of the sound. The cabinet sits on four small pads on a plate cut to its size, with open space below it.

Sitting the M30 on the plate
Put small felt or rubber pads under each corner of the cabinet rather than placing it straight on steel. If you use Blu-Tack, use only rice-grain amounts, as it can mark the veneer. Level each stand with its floor spikes before you set the speaker on it.
